Course description

The course examines a series of financial crises since the seventeenth century until the Great Financial crises of 2008. We will look at the causes of financial crises and their effect on the main institutions of Capitalism.

During this course we will investigate the notion of financialization of the free market economy and the inherent relationship between Capitalism and continuous failures of the economy.
