Course description

Course Description:

The course will survey the various schools of philosophy and Kalam in Medieval Islam, the great thinkers and the prominent topics that occupied them, such as logic, physics, metaphysics, ethics and politics. In addition, the course will focus on the translation movement into Arabic and its importance in the formation and development of Islamic philosophy.

 

Course Requirements:

Participation in meetings, reading relevant literature, and examinations at the end of the course (100%).
