Course description
In the course we will explore some of the unique themes typical to Chinese Philosophy, by an intense reading in some of the more "obscure" texts and a thorough examination of several centric debates. Specifically, we will examine the way Chinese Philosophers 'tell a story', referring to the relation between rationality and irrationality, dream and reality, logic and paradox and more. Participants will be required to read texts of several thinkers and trends of thought, among them the Zhuangzi, 'School of names', Xunzi, Mozi, Mengzi, Hanfeizi and Chan Buddhism.
