Course description
Aaron Shabtai's poetic work is marked by his resistance to what he sees as Hebrew poetry's   melancholic tendencies. As a scholar of ancient Greek literature, he advocated a different path of ethical writing. Since the 1960 he has been writing in an extremely original style, although that style evolved radically over the past decades. The seminar will focus on his poetic and critical writing.
