Course description
This course will offer a thorough historical survey of Modern Hebrew poetry. It will introduce dominant poetics and major turning points in the history of Hebrew poetry starting with the era of enlightenment and until the 1990s. It will aim to acquaint the students with prominent canonical poets, such as Y.L Gordon, C.N. Bialik, Rachel and Dalia Ravikobich as well as with excluded poets such as Chaim Lansky, Ester Raab and Noach Stern.
