Course description
In this seminar we will examine the connections between tow central components in the philosophy of Donald Davidson – the interpretive approach to linguistic meaning, and the causal conception of the relation between belief, desire and action. We will discuss primarily Davidson's own papers, but also other sources – in particular, contemporary work on decision theory.
