Childhood Memories: Expressions of Childhood in Autobiographical Literature
Dr. Tali Berner
This course will concentrate on descriptions of childhood in European autobiographical literature from the “confession” of Augustine till the “Confessions” of Rousseau. We will read various types of autobiographical texts: letters, memoirs, journals and autobiographies, and examine the way they can be used for historical research.
