Course description
The course deals with various methods in the study of religion, of faith and of religious practice. We will examine various questions pertaining to faith and practice using philosophical, psychological, anthropological and sociological methods. We will also examine the relation between theology, philosophy of religion and religious studies.
Credit for this course requires participation in at least two thirds of the classes and submitting several short papers. The final mark is determined by the marks of the written papers. Significant contribution to class discussions may award a bonus of 5 extra points to the student.
