Course description

The course offers an introduction to the architecture of modern housing: fundamental issues and approaches. The development of ideas will be explained chronologically and in the context of significant processes that have taken place in the past century globally. In addition, we will study the intellectual sources of the different approaches and spatial, formal and typological expressions. This conceptualization will serve as a basis for a renewed reading of modern housing in Israel. Here we will examine how ideas and models developed overseas were assimilated or rejected locally
