Pina Bausch shaped her dance-theater through assembling and juxtaposing of the visual, the musical and the kinesthetic. Thus, she created a rich and versatile stage montage. Montage allows the creation of a changing dynamic between the arts, and at the same time the revealing of their editing mechanisms. It signifies, thereby, strategies of narrative and design. The purpose of the seminar is to explore the relations between the arts as artistic and cultural strategies that offer a challenging model of contemporary dance-theatre.
