The course aims at fostering academic literacy, whereby students are able to develop critical thinking, reading and writing skills. The course will help students in reading and analyzing complex texts, developing ideas, locating relevant bibliography and other research sources, and writing clearly and effectively. Special attention will be given to writing research papers about music. Learning will consist of lectures, discussions and in-class exercises.
