This course will provide students structural comprehension with The Field of Cultural Production in Israel. We shall survey the evolving relationship between artists, directors of major art museums, Curators, Critics, Art Theoreticians, Art dealers and Gallery Owners, Art Collectors from past to present, focusing on documents that deal with the involvement of art in society and the relationship between aesthetics and politics in Israel.
