Course description

The course will examine the art created in Rome during the Renaissance and Baroque eras, as a tool for propaganda, which aimed to glorify the city and the art patrons. We shall discuss the artistic enterprises that were created by the leading artists: Michellangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini.
