The course aims at improving the skills of the playwriting students and advancing their works towards a potential performance according to the idiosyncratic traits of the texts. Several techniques will be employed, combining theoretical engagement with the writing process and elementary dramatic components; analysis of canonical models in order to explore their creative mechanism; personal tutorship sessions with the teacher; feedback meetings with the entire group; training exercises; tryouts of the texts with actors. The course will end with a staged reading of the plays.
