The purpose of this introductory course is to map and characterize approaches to the study of theatrical praxis that were developed in the 20^th century by prominent theatre creators: Constantin Stanislvski, Edward Gordon Craig, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Eugene Vakhtangov, Jacques Copeau, Jerzy Grotowski, Peter Brook, Eugenio Barba and Richard Schechner.
