Course description
The course explores classroom dynamics while addressing the class as a social group. Group theory helps to analyze the class climate in terms of the behavioral norms, conflicts in class, roles in the group and other factors that influence the interaction between the participants in the group: pupils and teacher. The course aims to develop the students' awareness to the importance of class management in terms of creating a safe and motivating climate for learning as well as teaching. Also, the students will discuss the meaning of creating a meaningful position as teachers in the classroom which emphasize caring and empathy as well as the ability to draw the lines of accepted behavior in the class.
