Course description
Creative thinking is important in any domain, including those of mathematics and sciences. The main component of creative thinking is the avoidance of impasses and tight control. This occurs during uncontrolled attempts of novel search directions. Many such directions may be unfruitful, yet some may be illuminating and effective. The course will focus on following such directions, while trying to bypass recurring impasses.
Evaluation: homework assignments, mini-lesson presentations, concluding class assignment.
