Course description
Mathematical thinking involves unfolding of hidden patterns. Mathematical games arouse enthusiasm and present colorful challenge. In order to answer questions such as “what is my best move?” and “what is the winning strategy?” problem-solvers look for hidden patterns in an appealing environment that enhances intuition. The course will focus on fundamental components of mathematical thinking, through the environment of mathematical games.
Evaluation: homework assignments, mini-lesson presentations, concluding class assignment.
