Course description
This course will introduce the main trends and movements in literary theory of the 20th century. Historical in it approach, the course will sketch out the evolution of literary theory from its beginning in Russian formalism, new criticism and structuralism to subsequent post-structuralist theories such as deconstruction, post-colonialism and queer theory.
