הקורס יעסוק בסוגיות מרכזיות בחקר החברה בישראל. הסטודנטים ייחשפו לראיה פנורמית של מגוון הקבוצות, השסעים וסוגיות העומק המפצלות את החברה בישראל. הוא יועבר במתכונת מודולורית על ידי 4 מרצים מהחוג, שכל אחד ואחת מהם/ן יציג סוגייה מרכזית. בין הנושאים שיידונו – מגדר, יחסי יהודים-ערבים, דתיות וחילוניות, שמאל וימין פוליטי, ריבוד ושוק העבודה, הגירה ועוד.Course description
The course deals with the main issues current in the research of Israeli society. Students will be exposed to a panoramic view of the diverse groups, gaps and issues dividing Israeli society. Lectures will be given by four of the department's faculty, in four modules, with each devoted to a different issue. Among the topics to be discussed: gender, Arab-Jewish relations, religiosity versus secularism, the political left and right, social structure and the labor market, immigration.
