In everyday life, we constantly make choices and decisions, both personal and professional. In contrast to our subjective impression that we rationally weigh the options available to us, numerous studies show that decision making processes are influenced by a variety of factors and biases. The course will deal with the thought processes involved in decision making, both in groups and as individuals. Among the topics of the course: social influences on attitudes, game theory, negotiation processes, attitude change, the effect of emotion on decision making, and moral decisions. In addition, heuristic processes will be examined, and the biases they may create.
