The course will examine the piano literature of the Romantic period.  We shall examine and discuss the evolution of the Piano throughout the works of Schubert, Mendelssohn, Weber, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt and Brahms, and evaluate the developments of various genres specifically written for the Piano.
