Course description

In the workshop we will learn and practice the fundamentals of debating, with a focus on how to use them in our day-to-day lives. For example: how to find the most relevant and effective message on every topic, articulate the message, present it persuasively and deal with objections.
The workshop aims at developing logic, analytical skills and rapid thinking. Students will acquire multiple reasoning approaches and of course the ability to deliver a debate speech in front of an audience.
The workshop will emphasize practice via experiencing debating and active participation. The final task of the class will include participating in a debate both as a speaker and as a judge. The methods learned were developed by debate experts and are practiced at leading universities worldwide.
