What does it mean to think like a biologist? This course presents a panoramic picture of ways of thinking and address biological questions. The beginning of term will be dedicated to a survey of cell biology, genetics, and evolutionary theory. We will focus on how biological questions are addressed as empirical/experimental, as theoretical/modeling questions; as evolutionary/comparative questions, and on the notions of population and historical explanation.
