Course description
This course offers an initial survey of the vast variety of the post biblical Jewish texts from Antiquity to the Early Medieval period. We will become acquainted with Second Temple literature, the Dead Sea scrolls, rabbinic literature, Liturgy and Piyyut, Early mysticism, Medieval commentaries of the Bible and the Talmud, and more.
