Law of Torts

The law of torts amalgamates discrete torts into one unity.  It seeks to govern the terms of interactions among persons by imposing duties on those whose activities render vulnerable the legitimate interests of other people.  The course will focus on torts’ basic concepts and doctrines in general and in the context of various torts.  In addition, the various theoretical foundations of this body of law will be explored and analyzed.
