Course description

The purpose of this workshop is to develop the ability to design through hand sketching. The course will focus on intervention in existing sites. Subjects: Finding vanishing point(s) and the horizon line in a given setting. Building an orthogonal grid based on the vanishing point(s) and horizon line. Carving free shapes out of the orthogonal grid. Adding building elements to the orthogonal grid. Expression of materials and details. Composition. Graphic expression of landscape elements. Drawing techniques (pencil, ink, basic watercolor/markers wash technique)
