The aim of the course is to get acquainted and experience theatrical processes in director’s work with the actor according to Stanislavski method. Learn the capabilities and limitations of our body as a physical instrument and how to use it, verbally and non-verbally to give shape to an action.
We will examine and discuss the following concepts: backstory construction, objective, event, action, creation of imaginary circumstances, inner monologue, scene evaluation and character analysis.
During the first semester those concepts will be examined by a series of silent etudes based on physical and psycho-physical actions.
During the second semester a small amount of text will be added.
