Introduction to the Study of Religion: Philosophy and Psychology of Religion
Religion and its various manifestations is a phenomenon that exists in all societies and cultures and one of the most studied fields in the humanities and social sciences. This part of the introduction is dedicated to two aspects of the study of religions; the study of various philosophical positions on the religious phenomenon since the Greco-Roman and early modern periods, and the study of religion from the point of view psychological research in its various forms. Among the thinkers whose teachings will be studied during this course are: Cicero, Hume, Kant, Hegel, Feuerbach, Marx, James, Otto, Freud, Jung, Fromm and Maslow.
