Course description

In this course we will examine the French thought from the après-guerre period onwards, focusing on Sartre, de Beauvoir, Merleau-Ponty, Levinas, Barthes and Foucault. We will discuss the questions asked by the different thinkers (what is: Man? Woman? Body? Other? Language? Discourse?), as well as the practical implications of these questions.
