This course will focus on Israeli poets of the 1960s, notably Meir Wieseltier, Yona Wallach and Yair Hurvitz. We shall be introduced to their literary personas and try to figure out their affinities to the speaker in their oeuvre; We shall examine how their poetry has been received since the 1960s; And we shall engage the concept of literary "generation", in regard to both past generations and future historical, theoretical and poetic progressions. The theoretical background for this course is psychoanalysis, from Freud to Lacan
