Law and Order in the Roman world
This course offers a preliminary introduction to Roman law, from the period of the XII Tables until the sixth century CE. Law was the main facet of the Roman state and of Roman citizenship. It is the origin of human rights in their legal meaning. During this course we will get acquainted with some of its central themes through the prism of human right.
