Competitions (agōnes) and their Consequences in Greek and Roman Mythology
Competition (agōn) is a focal motive in Greek and Roman Mythology. In this course we shall deal with some of such myths; we will disscuss the nature of each competition (whether between the gods, between gods and mortals or between mortal males and/or females), the motivation of the competitors and the resulting consequences.
