Course description

The aim of the course is to examine the development of modern Arabic fiction in the second half of the 20th century. The course will mainly concentrate on a textual analysis of new currents and trends that emerged: Modernism, Anti-modernism, Postmodernism. How are these concepts reflected in themes, structure and style, as well as in the development of new genres and the destruction of others?
