Course description

The migration of literary materials between medieval Arabic literature – high (adab), as well as more popular (e.g., the Arabian Nights) – and world literature from ancient and medieval times (e.g., Babylonian, Indian, Persian, European, the Jewish literature, etc.). Arabic literature as a link between east and west.
