Course description
The seminar will explore the keywords of modern economics – for instance, property, labor, value, exchange, market, and profit – by reading the key texts of economic thought. These include works of Locke, Filmer, Adam Smith, Malthus, Marx, Mill, Henry George, Irwin Fisher, and Keynes. If time allows, we will extend our investigation up through the financial crimes of 2008
