Course description
The course addresses key issues in the modern history of Jewish communities in the Middle East and North Africa as reflected in the scholarly literature. Also, we will examine the extant in which these issues are reflected in the literary and biographical writing by Jews from these communities. The course aims at illuminating the academic historical research trough the personal and the literary dimension.
