The Course will explore the development of the cinema in its classical era of sound to the modern cinema of the 50s (1927 – 1959). We will map its main orientations and schools and the link between cinema and social and cultural surroundings of its creating. We will do so partly by analyzing known masterpieces within the discussed era.
