Course description
This course considers social and spatial aspects of social heterogenic cities. The course covers daily intergroup interaction patterns with respect to the structure and properties of the urban built environment, residential and functional segregation, social structure and intergroup tolerance. The discussion of these aspects will be illustrated by examples of social groups in Israel that defined by ethnicity, socioeconomic status and life style at the city and metropolitan scale.
