Course description
The range of concepts between nothingness and emptiness has a central role in most Asian philosophies, religions, and aesthetic modes of thought. One can find these in most periods and in all the three large civilizations of Asia: India, China, and Japan. In the seminar we will explore these concepts as they appear in classic texts and modern philosophies.
