Course description
The course serves as an introduction to the various forms of Indian Buddhism, examining their historical and social context, its central doctrines, practices, and institutions. The course's readings, apart from secondary literature, will consist mostly of sections from the Buddhist canonical literature (both Early Buddhist and Mahāyāna ).
