Course description
The course will allow an introduction with the poetic oeuvre of one of the greatest Hebrew poets of the medieval golden age – Shmu'el Hanagid. We'll acquaint ourselves with his poetic art. Ranging from poems of love, lust and wine-drinking to personal accounts of the battles he took part in while leading the army of the small kingdom of Granada.
