Course description
The course focuses on 20th century Latin-American fiction and analyzes it from a historical perspective. Significant works by authors such as Horacio Quiroga, Alejo Carpentier, Jorge L. Borges, Julio Cortázar and Manuel Puig will be discussed throughout the course. Special emphasis will be put on these works as both independent aesthetic units and milestones in the evolution of Latin-American narrative.
