Jewish Reactions to the Holocaust
This course will discuss the wide range of Jewish reactions to the Holocaust focusing mainly on those which were formed during the war in occupied Europe. Among the issues that we will discuss: Between the private and the public spheres; Changes in human consciousness in times of stress; Amida, resistance and uprisings. During the course we will discuss the basics of academic writing and we will strive to improve the skills of critical reading and analysis of sources.
