Anthropology of Religion – Culture and Beliefs in the Age of Secularization

second semester 2016 / 2017
The seminar explores first the canonic concepts of the anthropology of religion and their definitions:
sacred and profane, magic, totem, aminism, spirits, ritualistic religion and extatic religion.
Following these concepts the seminar will concentrate on the contemporary individualistic search of spiritual meanings in the context of present secular times.
