Course description
The course will focus on the works of major female writers (Colette, Beauvoir, Marguerite Duras, Marie Cardinal, Nathalie Sarraute, Marie Darrieussecq, Annie Ernaux) and will try to unlock what the female voice has to offer: Do the female writers successfully characterize unique experiences of the female subjectivity? Do they offer new strategies that challenge the value system of the male canonical writers?
The course will examine issues such as mother- daughter relations, the female body and women writing
