Course description
The course analyzes the interactions between human societies and the environment in the Muslim Middle East. Local exceptional natural phenomena, regional and global climate change, natural resources (water, oil, gas), garden culture and other topics will serve as a platform to understand the ways in which the interaction of humanity and nature shaped social, cultural and political realities in the Middle East from the advent of Islam to the 21st century.
