Course description
The goal of the course is to expose the students to advanced feminist theories dealing with law and society. The discussion about the law will be a mean to a theoretical discussion about the ways society relates to the relations between women and men, constructs gendered dichotomist and hierarchical identities and ignores life experiences of women. In addition to the theoretical emphasis, the course will explore different research methodologies used by the sociology discipline and those who study the law and will discuss the ontological standpoints that are at the base of the different methodologies.
