Course description
The goal of this course is to grant students, with no previous knowledge of French, an advanced level by the end of the year. During the first semester students will learn basic French grammar, phonetics, simple sentences, the structure of the verb system, and the structure of the noun system. Students will acquire basic reading skills.
At each lessons students are required to bring and hand over their hand home works. every lesson. There will be a quiz every 2-3 weeks. Students must obtain a grade of 60 at the end of the first semester to continue to the second semester. Attendance is mandatory.
Course requirements: Participation, submission of class work, homework, and quizzes.
Grade breakdown is as follows: 40% class participation, homework and quizzes, 60% midterm exam with minimum grade of 60 .
