Course overview:
This course introduces students to the social and cultural characteristics of Arab-Muslim families in Israel. In the course, we will study the family from a cultural and religious perspective. We will discuss the hierarchical structure of Arab families and the changes that occurred in it, under the unique circumstances of the State of Israel. We will discuss the social, cultural, and political developments that characterized Arab-Muslim society since the establishment of Israel, and the development trends, and we will analyze, among other things, the hardships, concerns, and challenges that face Arab-Muslim families in Israel.

Requirements:
Required reading materials and submission of an assignment at the end of the semester.
